Onlineboarding.com maintains a database
of hot boarding mountains around the world. For a mountain to join our
database we must believe that it fits our strict criteria.
Criteria 1:
The three Ps (Powder, Park, Pipe)
Does the mountain provide one or all of these for snowboarders? How well
do they maintain their Park? What's the chances of fresh powder? Is the pipe
a mess or a crisp sculpture?
Criteria 2:
Crowd Factor
How popular is the mountain? If it's crammed with snowboarders and skiers
from all over the place we don't look favourably on it. The mountains that
provide enough space for everyone do well in our eyes. Even better: those
beautifully quiet mid-week mountains or the out-of-the-way places.
Criteria 3:
Costs/Getting There/Accommodation
These all important factors weigh in heavily. You want cheap lift tickets
right? You want to know how to get there. And when you get there you'll need
a place to stay. We research all these things and pass on the info to you.
Criteria 4:
Nightlife
Let's face it, you're not going there to play chess at night time. |
